About the Author
I’m, Dina-Marie, the mom of 10 and author of Cultured Palate. I began making cheese in 2008 when we purchased our first family milk cow, Buttercup. When we moved to west Texas to begin our vineyard, the first years were very difficult financially. I realized we were spending quite a bit of money on inferior dairy products – At the time I was a vegetarian and dairy was a major source of protein for us. After putting the pen to the paper, I discovered that we could keep a family milk cow and have way more dairy products for less money.
But, that meant that I had to begin making cheeses and other dairy products! Boy, was I lost! After all, I was city girl transplanted to country vineyard/homesteading life!
After much trial and error with different recipes and techniques, I settled on the recipes you will find in Cheesemaking Made Easy – recipes that I know work every time and taste great! I want to save you the trial and error period that I went through and give you trusted recipes which include the techniques I have learned along the way.
