Do you have a structured prayer life? We are told in 1 Thessalonians 5: 16 – 18 to “pray without ceasing”. How do you keep up with all your prayer requests? The Prayer List for the Daily Life Planner allows me to have an ongoing list of prayer requests.
It is always so encouraging to think back over prayer requests that we have made and to see how God answered them. That is the purpose of the prayer list .
When we began our move from Alabama to Texas to start the vineyard, we had a lot of uncertainty and a whole lot to pray about! It was during this time that I first began a prayer list on which I wrote down the date I began praying, what the need or request was, and finally, the date it was answered.
It is amazing now, 8 years later to look back over the dates and requests and to see how those were answered.
Some of those early requests were, that our house in Alabama would sell, that we would be able to buy grapevines for the year, and that I would be able to find a job here in the area in nursing.
Answers are not always what we want or when we want them! Our house did sell but it took 5 years to sell!
We were able to buy grapevines the first year even though we were late ordering them – normally, vines are ordered at least a year ahead so they can be grafted. Miraculously, the nursery had what we wanted that year!
I did find a job at a local county hospital that was 7 minutes from the house we were renting!.
I love looking back over the record of all that we asked for and how God answered each and every requiest!
If you have never kept a record of prayer requests for yourself and others you are praying for, I would encourage you to start and see the faithfulness of our God!
