Welcome back to our Q&A video series! In this week’s episode, the question was asked by three ladies, each wanting to know how I get everything done. Be sure to watch for some helpful tips!
Each week, I will be answering one question that you have asked either through email, comments or the questionnaire I sent out to the Email Club members.

Q&A Video #2
Transcript (more or less!):
Hey, it’s Dina-Marie from Cultured Palate back with another episode in our Q&A video series, Your Questions Answered. This week’s question was asked by three ladies – Joan, Victoria and Geri. They ask, “How do you get everything done?”.
Well ladies, I have to say my number one way that I get so much done is through my Daily Life Planner. It is my brain and makes all the difference in how my day goes and what I get accomplished.
The new, 2019 edition is available with some newly added features. As you can see, I have had mine spiral bound so it folds back on itself. It also works great in a 3 ring binder. But, since the kitchen island where I keep mine is a bit small, spiral bound works great for me.
I like to spend 5 to 10 minutes in the evening planning the next day. I’m a list maker – you know – one of those who writes something down that I’ve already done just so I can mark it off!
But seriously, those 5 to 10 minutes planning the next day makes a huge difference.
I write down calls I need to make, my exercise routine, to do list, everything I want and need to accomplish. The next day, I mark off the task as I do it.
Whether you are a pen and paper girl like I am or you use an app on your phone, find a way to organize yourself.
My next tip is to batch it. I like to work in batches – doing the same task at once, like several home education assignments at one time.
I use to pride myself in the ability to multitask. And I can. But I’ve realized after taking a course that proved to me, that when I stay focused on only one task for a period time, I get more done.
Whether it is blogging – like processing a bunch of photos at one time or home educating – making several weeks assignments at once. Focusing on one task or goal at a time helps me get more done.
Find a System That Works for You
Having a system that works is important.Whether it is the Daily Life Planner, an app on your phone or whatever, find something that works for you.
For me, right now, mornings are focused on home education and lunch preparation. Afternoons are blogging, gardening, exercising or whatever else needs to be done.
I would say the biggest thing is to plan, plan your day. Spending a few minutes the night before planning makes a huge difference.
So, girls, I hope this answers your question and helps you know how to plan your day.
I look forward to seeing you next week with another Q&A video!
