  • 3 cups uncooked white beans where to buy
  • 1 large onion chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 28 oz can chopped tomatoes I blend 1/2 of them quickly in the blender
  • 1/4 - 1/2 c. honey where to buy raw honey or you may use maple syrup)
  • 2 tsp dry mustard
  • 2 tsp sea salt
  • 2 Tbsp raw apple cider vinegar


  1. Soak the beans overnight covered with water.
  2. Drain the water from the beans, cover with fresh water and bring to a boil. Cook until tender.
  3. Drain the water from the beans and add the chopped onion, tomatoes, honey, dry mustard, salt and vinegar.

  4. Cover tightly and bake at 300F for about 4 - 6 hours - until the beans reach the desired consistency.
  5. Adjust to desired sweetness. Enjoy!

Recipe Notes

Tip For Making Homemade Baked Beans

If you are not on the GAPS or paleo diet: use 1/4 c. honey and 1/4 c. molasses for a delicious dish.
