Ingredients
3cupsuncooked white beans
1large onionchopped
3clovesgarlicminced
28ozcan chopped tomatoesI blend ½ of them quickly in the blender
¼ - ½cuphoneyYou can substitute with maple syrup
2teaspoonsdry mustard
2teaspoonssea salt
2tablespoonraw apple cider vinegar
Instructions
Soak the beans overnight covered with water.
Drain the water from the beans, cover with fresh water and bring to a boil. Cook until tender.
Drain the water from the beans and add the chopped onion, garlic, tomatoes, honey, dry mustard, salt and vinegar.
Cover tightly and bake at 300F for about 4 - 6 hours - until the beans reach the desired consistency.
Adjust to desired sweetness. Enjoy!
Notes
Tip For Making Homemade Baked Beans
