Ingredients

finely chopped apple pieces
peeled, cored - about 2 large apples
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Prepare 8 x 8 baking pan with nonstick coating.
Whisk together flour, cinnamon, baking powder, baking soda and salt in a medium bowl.
In a separate bowl, using a hand mixer, beat together butter, sugar, and egg until pale - about 2 minutes.
Add nuts and apples, and stir by hand to combine.
Add the flour mixture, and stir to combine.
Pour batter into baking pan, and bake about 25 - 35 minutes until golden brown.
Allow to cool completely before cutting into 12 bars.
Notes
These are delicious alone or served with
vanilla ice cream
a dollop of whipped cream
chocolate or caramel sauce drizzled on top.
