Ingredients
6bell peppersany color
1onionchopped
1lbground beef
2teaspoonsgarlic powder
1teaspoonssalt, pepper to taste
1 ½cupstomato sauce
2cupscooked rice
Instructions
Filling:
Brown the ground beef with onions.
Add the garlic, salt and pepper to the ground beef and onion mixture.
Add the tomato sauce and rice to the ground beef and mix well.
To Stuff:
Cut off the tops of the bell peppers and clean out the seeds. Spoon the ground beef mixture equally into the peppers.
Add 1 inch of water to the bottom of the crock pot and place stuffed peppers in the crock pot. .
Cook on low 6 hours or on high 3 hrs
Notes
Any color pepper works but red and yellow bell peppers will give a nice hint of sweetness.The filling can be made ahead of time and frozen. Thaw before stuffing the peppers.
