If you are on the keto diet then you will really appreciate this Breaded Pork Chops recipe. If not, you are still gonna love it because delish is always in style!

This is a keto breaded pork chops recipe because the breading is not really bread at all. In fact, it is made of crumbled pork rind!

Yep, and it is delicious. Skeptical? I was too until I tried it. You get the good crunch of breading but not the gluten or carbs of bread.

    🧾 Nutrition

That is why pork rinds are so popular in keto recipes. One ounce has zero carbs, 17 grams of protein and 9 grams of fat with 43 percent unsaturated.

As one persons described pork rinds - it is junk food that is good for you.

In total, each porkchop ends up with:

    • 16g fat
    • 1g carbs
    • 43g protein

This gives you plenty of fats and protein for sticking to the keto diet.

    🔪 Instructions

    • In a large freezer bag, place the pork rinds. Using a soft mallet, rolling pin or the bottom of a cup, crush the pork rinds so they resemble bread crumbs. Not shown
    • Season the pork chops with salt, pepper, and a dash of garlic powder. Photo 1
    • Season the crumbs with salt, pepper, garlic and onion powder, and parsley. Mix well. Dip the chops in egg, and then into the bag of crumbs. Do one pork chop at a time. Photo 2
    • Place on a parchment lined baking sheet and roast in the oven for 25 – 30 minutes or until the pork is cooked through. Photo 3

    🍤 Breadings

    • Breading with Flour:
      1. Place flour, seasoning salt, pepper and other seasonings as desired in freezer bag.
      2. Dip pork chop in a bowl with 1 beaten egg.
      3. Place pork chop in freezer bag and shake to coat well.
      4. Bake as directed below or fry in frying pan over medium high heat.
    • Breading with Breadcrumbs: Dip pork chop in a bowl with 1 beaten egg and then dredge in breadcrumbs. I like panko for this. Bake as directed.

    🧂 Seasoning

    • Seasoning salt
    • Italian spice blend - oregano, basil, garlic powder
    • Worcestershire sauce - mix together with the egg mixture and dip pork chops
    • Cheese - add cheese to bread crumbs or flour and coat evenly, finely shredded is best

I like the italian spice blend as the best option because it packs a ton of flavor with natural ingredients, but the worcestershire sauce adds a really nice kick.

    ♻️ Substitutions

    • Pork Chops can be breaded without eggs. Simply dredge pork chops in flour and fry or bake. If your pork chops are dry, rinse them with water and then dredge.
    • This will work with breadcrumbs, but using eggs works better.
